Hardship Fund

What is the hardship fund?

During the Covid-19 pandemic, we have set up a hardship fund for actors who would like to attend our events but can’t financially do so. We aim to give away free credit every month to actors who need it and they can use the credit towards our events for as long as we can.

Who can apply for the hardship fund?

The hardship fund is open to anyone but we will be prioritising underprivileged and underrepresented actors. We will not ask you any questions so we will be relying on actors to only apply if you really need it. All applications will be kept discrete.

How do I apply?

To apply for the hardship fund you should send an email to hardshipfund@mixingnetworks.com

All you need to do is put your name as appears on spotlight in the subject line and in the body of the email, write the type of event(s) you’d like to attend for example: casting workshop or auditioning for camera class. We can't book you on events that are already live/sold out so you're applying for credit to be added to your account to use towards future events. Please note you must be registered to our website in order to book events.

How many times can I apply?

We will be capping this to a maximum of 3 requests per actor. Priority will be given to new applicants.

How will I know when I receive something from the hardship fund?

You will be emailed a confirmation of credit going to your account. The credit can be used towards your specific event. We can not reserve places so you will have to be ready to log onto our website when new events go live in order to book. Please note all credits will still be subject to our cancellation policy so if you cancel an event within the cancellation period, you will lose that credit so please make sure you’re 100% available for your chosen event before you book.

Should I follow up after I send in my application?

No need to follow up. Depending on the numbers, we might not be able to give everyone a piece of the hardship fund so we might not be able to give everyone something.
